Post-MFA Work, made during or after earning my Masters in Fine Art in Studio Practice and Photography. Some are very old archived photos that have been revisited, but 99.9% have been actually taken since fall of 2015. I would say my new work looks at the biographical potential of erotic situations and the ways in which performance and persona interject abstractions in portraiture content. This work is presented side by side with little to no explanation and the gallery is presented at random (no really, refresh the page) to disrupt any narrative readings about persona and identity. In my work, I have found that those lines, between “being” and “performing,” are always too blurred from the start to assess or make judgement through portraiture.
